Drenge – ‘We Can Do What We Want’
Drenge are back, and that’s great – they were one of the best live bands I saw in 2013 and their ear-pummelling sound was sorely missed at the festivals I attended last year. ‘We Can Do What We Want’ is a distinctly garage-influenced affair that reminds me of Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster (who I loved), but it’s definitely still textbook Drenge. With the announcement of new album ‘Undertow’ in April they’ve also revealed it’s gorgeously colourful artwork. Best album cover I’ve seen in ages.
