Song: Fat White Family – ‘Special Ape’
Fat White Family are (still) one of our favourite new London bands, but we have no right to carry on discussing how revolting they look and sound, we’ve been way out of line already.
It is fortunate, then, that the video for ‘Special Ape’ speaks a lot louder than our meagre words. Bondage, strobes, sweat, and shit (probably) are all in place for this insane troupe’s latest video, while the track itself sounds like The Stranglers’ ‘Peaches’ with Rainbow’s Zippy playing all the instruments. Playing them wrong, that is.
